Enhancing Accessibility on the Go

 

Collaborating with the renowned Dutch designer clothing company, G-Star RAW, was an exciting endeavor where we aimed to optimize their mobile website to enhance customer visits and sales. Recognising the need to improve the mobile shopping experience and infuse the website's unique "vibe" into the mobile platform, M2Mobi was given the responsibility of this project

Project Objectives:

  • Analyse the current website and user behavior to identify pain points and opportunities for optimisation.

  • Address the low visits on G-Star RAW's mobile website by creating a user-friendly and attractive mobile shopping platform.

Understanding User Pain Points:

  • Through in-depth analysis, we identified that a significant number of users didn't make it to the mobile home page, and many dropped their visit after clicking on a product.

  • Investigating the desktop version, we recognised that unoptimised images and videos led to slow loading times and excessive data usage on mobile devices.

Creating a User-Centric Mobile Website:

  • To optimize the mobile web experience, we closely collaborated with G-Star RAW's team, guiding them to be more user-centric in their requirements.

  • We optimized the current content for the mobile platform, ensuring a seamless transition from the desktop site to mobile.

  • Developed customer journeys and interaction flows tailored to match mobile behavior, creating a fluid and engaging experience.

Seizing Mobile Platform Opportunities:

  • Recognizing the unique opportunities mobile presented, we advocated for including GPS functionality in the product strategy, a feature absent on the desktop site.

  • After research, we discovered that customers desired the ability to check if specific clothes in desired size/color were available in nearby stores while they were on the go.

  • We introduced the Store Locator and Stock Locator features into the mobile platform, distinguishing G-Star RAW from other brands and significantly boosting sales and visits worldwide.

Project Outcomes:

The optimised mobile website successfully addressed the low visit issue, attracting more customers to explore G-Star RAW's offerings on their mobile devices.

By seamlessly translating the website's essence into the mobile platform, we enhanced the overall customer satisfaction, leading to increased sales.

The inclusion of GPS functionality with Store and Stock Locators proved to be a game-changer, empowering users with real-time information and setting G-Star RAW apart as a leader in mobile shopping experiences.
